Physiotherapy

The Physiotherapy Department is a well equipped treatment facility employing highly motivated specialist physiotherapists. It offers a wide variety of skills in assessment and treatment of musculo-skeletal problems.
Mobilising and manipulative techniques form a major part of the treatments on offer and are integrated with other techniques in order to restore joint and nerve mobility, correct muscle imbalance and relieve pain.
A comprehensive selection of electrotherapeutic modalities and acupuncture complement the range of treatments available. Ongoing commitment towards post-graduate education by highly skilled staff ensures that patients receive the most effective holistic approach to their problems.

Physiotherapy aims to assess patients, using joint movement, neural mobility, muscle imbalance and understanding of pain to diagnose a particular dysfunction leading to pathology and pain behaviour.
