Triage: everyday 8.00am to 5.00pmMinor Illness clinics
offer booked appointments with experienced practice nurses..
Triage provides telephone advice for minor illness and ensures that
patients who need urgent appointments will be seen by a doctor or nurse as
appropriate.
The group of nurses that run these clinics are able to help with many
conditions: cystitis, earache, thrush, rashes, sore eyes, sore throats, for
example. They can also arrange prescriptions although many common conditions
do not need antibiotics.
Telephone advice
Our doctors and nurses are happy to
contact you by telephone for matters that you feel do not require a
face-to-face consultation. Contact reception to arrange this.
Please indicate to the receptionist whether the request is for urgent
advice or concerning a routine matter
You will of course, be asked on which number you can be contacted.
Please ensure you are a going to be able to take the call on that
number. It is frustrating for you and the doctor/nurse to miss the
call.
